9/14/25 — Teal
Teal (They/Them)
The founding member of The Recystance, Teal brings a wealth of experience from their work in volunteer organizations, support groups, and professional background. They have led PTSD support initiatives and have been actively involved with LGBTQ+ activism through various organizations. With passions for gaming and writing, Teal works on this project from the comfort of their bed, trying to bring support to a community woefully lacking it.
If that sounds egoistic, I get a pass because my partner wrote it.
Willow (She/Her)
A life partner to someone particularly struggling with HS and all around cool cat. Despite the many challenges of intensively supporting someone else she has always remained empathetic and studious about the condition. She is a great beta reader, typist, writer, and wellspring of ideas. This project would not have been possible without her support. Her involvement with The Recystance will probably be limited going forward as the idea is to be by and for those living with the disease, but she is remembered here.
